The design concept based on a three-story working-world, which seems to float over the campus like a closed linked work-scape. The floor area on the ground is minimized to a maximum. The protected exterior areas under the cantilevers can be used for sport activities. The other ground area is lavishly planted. The design provides 12 organisational clusters with working space for 2042 employees, plus executive area – that means that one cluster serves 175 persons. 600 sqm of additional floor for conference rooms and break out zones guarantee an optimal working environment. The storey-high glazing and green balcony balustrades integrate the building into the surrounding and provide a pleasant and natural working atmosphere. The interior is mainly designed in wood, with white surfaces and concise colour accents for orientation. Exterior and interior design concept makes clear the aim: working for adidas World of Sports should feel like home. 

The future-orientated, sustainable energy concept focuses on five main topics: Optimal summer heat protection due to extended façade elements and optimal winter heat insulation because of triple-glazing and a highly insulated building envelope. A high amount of daylight inlet as well as radiant heating and cooling offer the best comfort in the offices, the layer-ventilation-system allows natural ventilation and guarantees very good air quality. Regenerative energy production is provided by geothermal power, heat pumps, free cooling and photovoltaic-elements.
