Peter Jan van Ouwerkerk

As Director at ingenhoven architects, Peter Jan van Ouwerkerk has joint responsibility for the design of large projects. After completing his architectural studies at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands, he worked in various German architectural practices from 1988 and, in 1994, joined ingenhoven architects.
In 1997 Peter Jan van Ouwerkerk was appointed Project Director and, in 2016, Director; he has extensive experience in all phases from outline design to completion. His main focus is on scheme design, design for building approval and detailed design, as well as artistic supervision of projects. His building projects include the RWE head office in Essen—the first ecological high-rise building in Germany—the Lufthansa Aviation Centre in Frankfurt am Main, the Oeconomicum in Düsseldorf, the Lanserhof health resort in Tegernsee, Stuttgart main railway station, and the Kö-Bogen 2 development in Düsseldorf.
