Lanserhof Sylt: Construction is underway
After the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the Lanserhof Sylt on 29 November 2017, construction picked up speed in January. The excavation pit at the Lister Watt in the north of the island was excavated and the foundation is created.
On the site of a former officers’ accommodation block from the 1930s ingenhoven architects are building a 68-room medical spa resort that is scheduled for completion in 2020. The Lanserhof Group is one of the most modern health resort operators in Europe in the field of medical wellness; the group is the originator of the LANS Med concept. In 2014, ingenhoven architects had already completed Lanserhof Tegernsee, which was followed in 2017 by the Lanserhof at Lans in Austria. In close cooperation with the Office for the Preservation of Historic Buildings and for Nature Conservation, the former officers’ accommodation block will be converted as the central building of the entire Lanserhof ensemble. In addition, the development will include the main building with a spa area, including indoor and outdoor salt-water pools, and a diagnostics building housing the medical care facilities for guests. The Lanserhof ensemble will be rounded off with three holiday homes.
