Green GOOD DESIGN™ Award for Toranomon Hills Towers
The Award Committee, composed by renowned international architects and designers, selected the Toranomon Hills Towers project among 180 outstanding examples of Green Design. The visionary high-rise development was recognized in the Green ARCHITECTURE 2023 category.
The Green GOOD DESIGN™ Award is bestowed by The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and honours outstanding individuals, organizations and institutions who have forwarded exceptional thinking and inspired greater progress toward a healthier and more sustainable universe.
The Toranomon Hills development sets new benchmarks for ecological construction with the integration of lush greenery and energy efficient technologies, achieving a green replacement rate of 64.5% as well as a CASBEE ‘‘S“ rating – the highest level in this classification. By harmoniously blending with Tokyo's cityscape as well as expanding the neighbouring green areas, the project demonstrates how nature and sustainability can be successfully integrated into urban living spaces.
