Dynamics + Change—Exhibition on the development of cities on the River Rhine 1910–2010+, RheinForum, Cologne
One hundred years after the groundbreaking "General Town Planning Exhibition", which took place in 1910 in Berlin and shortly afterwards in Düsseldorf, the MA:I Museum of Architecture and Engineering in North Rhine-Westphalia and the Regionale 2010 funding project organized a town planning exhibition under the working title "Dynamics + Change of cities on the River Rhine 1910–2010+", which was shown in the autumn of 2010, the year the Regionale 2010 presented its projects to the public.
Using legendary plans and projects of the last one hundred years, which had and still have an impact on town planning issues, the special features of the large cities on the River Rhine between Bonn and Duisburg were highlighted. Architects, urban designers, and town planners who contributed significantly to urban design in NRW and created important concepts and masterplans were presented. The contribution from ingenhoven architects was the residence at Duisburg’s inland port.
