Hinrich Schumacher

Dipl.-Ing. Architect, Managing Director

Hinrich Schumacher is the managing director of ingenhoven architects. He received his degree in architecture from the University of Dortmund in 1992, and in the same year commenced working for Christoph Ingenhoven, and, since1994, has been a member of the AKNW (The Academy for the Chamber of Architects North Rhine-Westphalia). He has been the managing director since 1999.

Hinrich Schumacher has a wealth of experience in all tasks concerning architectural design. He is responsible for all administrative and organizational duties involved with all of the architectural and general planning projects carried out by the office.

Among other things, Hinrich Schumacher is currently responsible for the Stuttgart main railway station project which is in the scope of the Stuttgart 21 project. Prior to this, Hinrich Schumacher has worked on numerous projects, including Lufthansa Frankfurt, Dusseldorf SkyOffice, the expansion of the Al Haram Mosque in Mecca, Google HQ in Palo Alto CA, Swarovski HQ in Zurich, and the University College Dublin.
