Barbara Bruder has been with ingenhoven architects since 1990. Prior to this, she had graduated with a degree in architecture from The Berlin University of the Arts. Since 2000, she has held the position of project director and has been responsible for a variety of projects. She leads a 15-man team.
Barbara Bruder’s field of activity is quite extensive indeed. She has been responsible for the realization of a wide range of office and administrative buildings in recent years, for example, company headquarters such as the HDI HQ in Hannover or Burda in Offenburg. During the multi-phase Burda project, emphasis was placed on the redevelopment of the two existing buildings, those being the skyscraper and the Eiermann Building, which is a listed building. In addition, Barbara has significant experience working on construction projects for public sector clients. She is currently responsible for the construction of the city hall of Freiburg.
Over the last few years, Barbara Bruder has specialized more and more on residential projects, the construction of hotels and skyscrapers. She was also responsible for the realisation of the O2 Munich Uptown Building. Moreover, the development the Oval residential tower Am Kaiserkai in HafenCity Hamburg was a project executed under her leadership. She is currently planning the new Strandkai residential tower in Hamburg, which is being designed to be awarded the HafenCity gold ecolabel.
Barbara Bruder has already gained a wealth of experience in the field of hotel construction, having led the Lanserhof Tegernsee and the IC Hotel Messe Hamburg projects. Furthermore, she is working together with her team on the plans for the Lanserhof Lans. Interior design is playing a particularly significant role in the Lanserhof projects.
